Operated by the Best family from at least 1666.

Leased to Edward Winch 1851 and acquired by Edward Winch & Sons 1894.

Registered January 1895.

Merged with Style & Co. of Maidstone 1899 to form Style & Winch Ltd.

Brewing at Chatham ceased and the brewery has been demolished.
