Edinburgh United Breweries Ltd, Bell's Brewery, 46 Pleasance, Edinburgh, Lothian.

Registered December 1889 to acquire: Robert Disher & Co, Edinburgh & Leith Brewing Co, Old Playhouse Close, Canongate; G Ritchie & Sons, Bell's Brewery; Robin McMillan & Co, Summer Hall Brewery and David Nicolson, Palace Brewery, 8 Abbey Mount, for £320,000.

Summer Hall Brewery closed in 1911 and Edinburgh and Leith Brewery and Palace Brewery believed closed 1914-18 to conserve supplies.

Bell's Brewery closed down in 1935 by Customs & Excise due to brewing irregularities and was acquired by John Jeffrey & Co. Ltd.
