The brewery in 1961

E D Nesfield (Trustees of), 21 King Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

The earliest Yorkshire brewery founded 1691 by the Nesfield family. In 1912 George Nesfield of Scarborough died at Ripon. Acquired by Moors & Robson's Breweries Ltd in 1919 with 33 public houses. Brewing ceased 23rd September 1932. Parts of the brewery are still standing.
