The brewery in 1961

E D Nesfield, trustees of, 21 King Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

The earliest Yorkshire brewery founded 1691 by the Nesfield family. Acquired by Moors & Robson's Breweries Ltd. 1919 with 33 public houses.

Brewing ceased 23rd September 1932.

The Phoenix Brewery is still standing.
