Registered July 1897 to acquire Newsome Baxter, brewers, Thornton-le-Moor and Dover & Co, ale and spirit merchants. The Newcastle business was acquired by Archibald Arrol & Sons Ltd. 1901 and closed 1908 with 6 houses.
