Mike Brown writes:-

The nineteenth century Donnington Mill and adjoining Arkell’s Brewery (late eighteenth to early nineteenth century) are both built of Cotswold stone and listed grade II. The two-storey, four-bay brewery is rectangular in plan. Arkell’s Donington Ales was established on this site in 1865. Until 1959 all power was supplied by two water wheels, which are still used occasionally.
