A C S & H Crowley, 137/139 High Street, Croydon, Greater London.

Brewed at Waddon since 1600 and acquired the Croydon brewery in 1808.

Acquired by Hoare & Co. Ltd. 1919 and brewing ceased in 1929.


Crowley & Co. Ltd, Turk Street, Alton, Hampshire.

Founded by James Baverstock 1763 and was bought by the Crowley family of Croydon 1821.

Sold to the Burrell family 1877 but continued trading as Crowley & Co.

Registered 1901.

Acquired by Watney, Combe, Reid & Co. Ltd. 1947 with 248 public houses and brewing ceased in August 1970.

Used as a depot until 1980s.
