Cross Keys, 9 New Street, Oakham, Leicestershire.

Although, Ruddles Brewery Ltd leased the pub in 1911, Albert Edward Butcher was identified as the brewer 1922-25.

Thomas James King was the licensee from 1932 to 1949, and was still brewing in 1936.

It was one of the last pubs in the area to brew.

It was described as a 300 years old Ruddles Brewery Ltd pub to be demolished for a road scheme in 1971.

It survived the road-building programme, but disappeared when the nearby Morris’ brewery was demolished for that most valuable addition to any town, another supermarket.
