Floor to ceiling windows gave M4 travellers a view of the two 800 barrel capacity coppers used in the brew house and provided the operatives with a pleasant working environment.
The massive cylindrical fermenting vessels extend vertically above the full height of the brewery. There were 22 fermenting vessels of 1,540 barrels and two of 770 barrels capacity.

Scottish Courage Ltd, Berkshire Brewery, Imperial Way, Worton Grange, Reading, Berkshire.

Site acquired 1978 and operational 1980 to replace Simonds Ltd brewery in Bridge Street.

Closed in 2010.
