[[Mottram's Brewery Ltd]] of Salford was acquired in 1897. The Lancashire properties of [[Boardman's United Breweries Ltd]] (Harpurhey) (ex [[Greenwood Brothers]]) were acquired in 1899. [[Phoenix Brewery Co. Ltd]] of Heywood was acquired in 1937 with 127 houses.
