Founded by 1871 as Owen & Gelderd.

Registered 1905 to acquire the business of John Gelderd.

Acquired by William Younger & Co. Ltd. September 1933 and brewing ceased but continued to bottle Younger's beers until 1965.

Dissolved July 1965.
