Founded by North & Marshall 1854. Hodges & Ritchie recorded here. Hilder & Body, brewers and maltsters, here in 1878. Acquired by W Willett & Son 1895.

Brewing ceased 1900 and premises used by the Rock Brewery (Brighton) Ltd. as stores. Demolished 1988.
