Clarkson & Son, Midland Brewery, Victoria Street, Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire

Founded as Ball & Co in about 1870. In 1879, the brewery was bought by William Clarkson of the Soho Brewery, Liverpool. In 1884 it became Green & Clarkson. An attempt to float the concern as a limited company failed. At the time, 73 pubs and hotels were owned.

In 1890, acquired by Peter Walker & Son (Warrington & Burton) Ltd. Brewing ceased in 1923. Housing now occupies the site.

Part of the maltings survive.
