Created as a result of a Management Buy Out (MBO).  
The former [[J. Nimmo & Sons Ltd]] brewery, which was acquired by Whitbread & Co. Ltd. in October 1963.


Brewing commenced 1999. In 2002, the owners acquired Cameron's Brewery in Hartlepool from Wolverhampton & Dudley.
