Caparn Hankey & Co, Robin Hood Brewery, Lombard Street, Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire

John Smith Caparn was a maltster behind the Robin Hood Hotel from about 1844. He is recorded as brewing there in about 1870-1871.

Caparn Hankey & Co from 1878. In 1879, they purchased a site at Albert Street and built a large new brewery: see Hole & Co. Ltd.
