Registered in January 1895.  
Built 1880s by William Butler at rear of the Crown public house. Registered January 1895. Merged with [[Henry Mitchell & Co. Ltd]] with 130 houses in 1898 to form [[Mitchells & Butlers Ltd]]. Oddly, [[Whitbread & Co. Ltd]] listed here 1921.
 
The brewery buildings survived almost into the C21 before falling to the city centre redevelopment. The Crown pub still trades, but these days more of a nightclub.


Merged with [[Henry Mitchell & Co. Ltd]] with 130 houses in 1898 to form [[Mitchells & Butlers Ltd]].

The former Crown pub
William Butler was born in Hinckley, Leicestershire in 1843. This blue plaque is displayed on the Greyhound Inn, New Buildings, Hinckley.

Built 1880s by William Butler at rear of the Crown public house. Registered January 1895. Merged with Henry Mitchell & Co. Ltd with 130 houses in 1898 to form Mitchells & Butlers Ltd. Oddly, Whitbread & Co. Ltd listed here 1921.
