Butler's Crown Brewery Ltd, Crown Brewery, 36/37 Broad Street, Birmingham, West Midlands

Registered in January 1895. Merged with Henry Mitchell & Co. Ltd with 130 houses in 1898 to form Mitchells & Butlers Ltd.

Following the closure of the brewery, the Old Crown pub on Broad Street continues to trade; recently it has been called 'Reflex'.

William Butler was born in Hinckley, Leicestershire in 1843. This blue plaque is displayed on the Greyhound Inn, New Buildings, Hinckley:
