Messrs. Budden & Biggs Ltd., New (Steam) Brewery, Strood, Kent. Brewers’ Journal 15th February 1901

Budden & Biggs Brewery Ltd, Steam Brewery, 118 High Street, Strood, Kent.

Founded by 1823 by Samuel Turner and later run by Thomas William Clark.

Registered July 1897 as Budden & Biggs Ltd. to amalgamate the wine & spirit business of James Budden of Chatham with Biggs Brothers Steam Brewery. 66 public houses.

Name changed as above 1924.

Acquired by Ind Coope Ltd. 1931.

Brewery demolished c.1975 for a supermarket but offices remain.
