Brutton, Mitchell, Toms Ltd. Old Brewery, 7/15 Princes Street, Yeovil, Somerset.

Established in 1771. Cave & Brutton in 1870s.

Registered September 1891 as Mitchell, Toms & Co. Ltd. to acquire Toms & Co. and F.Mitchell & Co, wine and spirit merchants.

Took over Joseph Brutton & Sons Ltd. of Yeovil April 1937 and was renamed as above.

Acquired by Charrington & Co. Ltd. 1960 and brewing ceased 1965.

Brutton, Mitchell, Toms Ltd, Chard Brewery, 21 High Street, Chard, Somerset.

Trading 1760s by the Leman family.

By 1872 Sumner and William Tucker Toms. Sumner died 1889, when trading as Toms & Co. Ltd.

In 1890 became a limited company and amalgamated with wine merchants and rectifiers F Mitchell & Co. Ltd. in 1894 to form Mitchell, Toms & Co. Ltd.

Brewery closed June 1926 having agreed an arrangement with Bruttons of Yeovil, acquiring them in 1937 and registered as above.

Used for cider until 1960s.
