Brewing commenced 2015.

A Cooperative of enthusiast and locals started work on the brewery in early 2015. May saw the installation of a 2.5 BBL plant, previously used at Unsworths Yard. The brewery is in a set of barns opposite the Queens Arms.
 
Commercial production commenced in the Autumn of 2015 with brewing undertaken by the one paid employee Matt Burden. Beers and images used mainly relate to Barrow’s ship building industry.
 
Brewing ceased 2019.

Biggar Brewing Co-operative, The Queens Arms Courtyard, Biggar, Walney, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria LA14 3YG
