Biddy Early Brewery

Established in 1995, by Dr Peadar Garvey, the first new brew pub established in over 200 years in this area. It also produced the first new stout in Ireland in that time, although many new beers and lagers have been produced. Black Biddy is produced using absolutely no artificial ingredients, not even for clarification or fining. The beers are not pasturised or filtered, (with the exception of the lager) and Black Biddy has already won several international acolades.

The four barrel plant came from Peter Dobbin of Manchester and Peter helped installation, it has a weekly capacity of over 20 barrels.. The beers are only available in the pub at present and output is about 10 barrels a week.
