Founded at Goldsmith Lane in 1830. Acquired by [[Hanley & Co. Ltd]], Oxford 1888.  
Originally owned by the Morrell family in the C18.
 
In 1863 WB & John Hilliard advertised as the Goldsmith Lane Brewery and in 1884 as the Anchor Brewery.  
 
Acquired by [[Hanley & Co. Ltd]], Oxford 1888 but probably only used the malting.


Premises later used as a laundry.

The brewery in 1991

Benjamin William Hilliard, Anchor Brewery, St.Martin's Street, Wallingford, Berkshire.

Originally owned by the Morrell family in the C18.

In 1863 WB & John Hilliard advertised as the Goldsmith Lane Brewery and in 1884 as the Anchor Brewery.

Acquired by Hanley & Co. Ltd, Oxford 1888 but probably only used the malting.
