Merged with James Kay, Atlas Brewery, Ardwick 1896 to form Kay's Atlas Brewery Ltd. Brewing was concentrated at the Atlas Brewery and the Standard Brewery was sold.
The Standard Brewery was located between Burns Street and Tuer Street; old maps indicate that it became a chocolate factory, then an aluminium foundry.
