Founded by Guy Senior 1857. Registered August 1888 to acquire Paul and Guy Senior.

Acquired by John Smith's Tadcaster Brewery Co. Ltd. 1961 with 250 public houses.

Closed 27th March 1976.

Parts of the brewery remain. The site is used as light industrial and commercial units.
