The Ashvine Brewery was set up by Chris Clark and his brother in the late 1980s in the tiny village of Trudoxhill, deep in the heart of the Somerset countryside.
Since then, their beers have gained a nation-wide reputation for excellence including being awarded the “Beer of the Year” award from CAMRA.
The brewery owns and runs three pubs in Bath, Cheltenham and Trudoxhill itself and it supplies beers to a further 100 pubs in the Somerset and Wiltshire areas. The team normally brew no more than 2,000 gallons a week, producing a wide range of beers headed by the award-winning Hop and Glory.

In 1989, the landlord of the pub moved the brewery to here from Wellington.

In 1997, a new expanded brewery was opened in Frome and brewing ceased at the pub.
