Ash & Co, Dane John Brewery, St John's Lane, Canterbury, Kent.

Founded prior to 1770 when in the hands of William Sankey.

Amalgamated with the East Kent Brewery Co. Ltd. of Sandwich 1920 to form Ash's East Kent Brewery Co. Ltd.

Acquired by Jude, Hanbury & Co. Ltd. 1923 with c.100 houses who then closed their brewery at Wateringbury.

Acquired by Whitbread & Co. Ltd. 1929.

Brewing ceased 1933 and brewery demolished.
