Alma Woods & Co, Walpole Brewery, Walpole Highway, Walpole St Peter, Norfolk
The Walpole Brewery was situated on the corner of what is now Five Alls Road, Walpole Highway. Road named after a beerhouse called Five Alls. Mary Woods was listed as a brewer in 1851, along with her son, John Woods. John's son Alma (born 1855) took over in 1881, later with his brother Frederick. Alma Woods listed 1883, 1892 to 1902. In 1886, he was brewing XX, XXX and Mild Ales. Frederick was listed as a brewer and mineral water manufacturer at Walpole in the 1911 Census.
Closed in 1914. The buildings were still standing in the mid 1990s.
