Groves took over some beer houses pre the auction of 28 July 1915. Some were not part of that auction and were held by the family, but the ones, along with the brewery (built 1876) were as follows:_
- Yacht Inn - Poole £1,000
- Coventry Arms - Corfe Mullen £1,000
- Railway Hotel - West Moors £1,000
- London Brewery (off-license & brewhouse) - Christchurch - £700
- Pinecliff Hotel - Southbourne, Bournemouth (now Brewhouse & Kitchen Bournemouth) - £4,300
- George Inn - Wimborne £700
- Greyhound Inn - Wimborne £800
- Cricketers’ Arms - Wimborne £800
- Three Lions - Wimborne £800 (now called the Minster Arms - free house - brewery tap. Julian Brewery was behind and adjacent to the pub.
- White Horse - Poole - demolished due to High St redevelopment in late 1960s/early ‘70s
- Barley Mow Inn - Colehill, nr Wimborne ( now Enterprise)
- Bear Cross Hotel - Kinson, Bournemouth (now Hall & Woodhouse - rebuilt in 1950s?)
- Stocks Inn - Furzehill, nr Wimborne (Punch)
- The Gold Oak - Cranborne
- The Haven Hotel - Sandbanks, Poole (not sold at auction and held by the family. Still a major hotel at Sandbanks by the ferry).
- The Horns Inn - West Parley, nr Ferndown
- Cross Keys Inn - Mannington, nr Cranborne
- Oddfellows’ Arms - Wimborne
- Dorset House - Moordown, Bournemouth
- Julian House - Moordown, Bournemouth (Off-license & depot)
The Julian Brewery itself was sold for £16,000 and the equipment therein for £150. Casks & horses were sold for £1,000.
The final valuation was taken at completion which was in February 1916 despite the auction being on 28 July 1915.
