A G Ekin, Magdalene Street, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
Founded 1780 by William Ekin. Known as William Ekin & Son in the 1860s.
Acquired by P.L.Hudson of Pampisford 1888 with 51 tied houses. Registered as Hudson's (Cambridge & Pampisford) Breweries Ltd May 1892.
Used as a store until 1924 when Hudson discontinued and was redeveloped by Magdalene College in 1925.
Acquired by Wells & Winch Ltd. 1931.
Some brewery buildings still survive as part of the college hostel.
