Founded c.1830. Registered March 1882.

Acquired jointly by the brothers F A Kelley of Sheffield and James Kelley of Wath in 1903.

The 66 houses were divided between Whitmarsh, Watson & Co. Ltd and Whitworth, Son & Nephew Ltd. and the brewery was closed.
