Established by the Harrop family behind the Ark hotel and acquired by the Allen Brothers c.1877.
Around 1907 taken by Jones & Davis.
For sale 11th November 1925, although the brewery was withdrawn, Lewis Clarke's Ltd bought Lot 4.
