Registered May 1899.  
In 1882 Peter Howard & Co listed.
 
In 1888 the Howard Brothers partnership was dissolved, William Howard continuing here. On his death in 1892 the Syke Street brewery was described as built ‘a few years ago’.
 
There seems to have remained a connection with Peter Howard & Co as the Preston Brewery Ltd (see Sharples).
 
In 1894 the Preston Brewery Co was for auction with 6qtr plant and 30qtr malting.
 
Registered as above May 1899 with George D Hale as managing director.
 
In 1906 acquired by/merged with [[Hall, Hale & Co. Ltd]].
