John was Samuel Salt's son-in-law and managed the brewery for the trustees after his father-in-law's death c.1892. Mrs Foley purchased the brewery from the trustees in 1894. John Foley bankrupted 1902 and brewery and 4 houses failed to sell. Sold to Thomas Plant in 1910 and brewing ceased.
