Brewing commenced 1990. Thomas Marrian & Co. Ltd, Burton Weir Brewery, Royds Mill Street. Founded c.1830. Registered March 1882. Acquired jointly by the brothers F A Kelley of Sheffield and James Kelley of Wath in 1903.

The 66 houses were divided between [[Whitmarsh, Watson & Co. Ltd]] and [[Whitworth, Son & Nephew Ltd]]. and the brewery was closed.
