Daniell & Sons Breweries Ltd, Castle Brewery, 6 Maidenburgh Street, Colchester, Essex.

Founded 1866. Merged with Thomas Daniell & Sons of West Bergholt in January 1887 to form Daniell Brothers & Co.

Castle Brewery closed by March 1892.

Acquired by Truman, Hanbury & Buxton & Co. Ltd 1958 with 150 tied houses.

Brewery mainly standing, adjacent to the castle.
