Russell founded in 1771.
Registered August 1897 to acquire James Russell & Son and William Wrangham Ltd.
Acquired by the Melbourne Brewery (Leeds) Ltd. 1958 with 90 public houses and was sold to J.W.Cameron & Co. Ltd. in 1961.
Ceased brewing 1969 and demolished 1985.
