Brewing commenced 2001 under this name when the Border Brewery Co (Berwick) merged with the Four Rivers Brewing Co and relocated to the Four Rivers site (Unit 10 Hawick Crescent Industrial Estate, Newcastle-upon-Tyne).
The Hadrian part of the name is because that site was originally the Hadrian Brewery.
During early 2011, the brewery expanded and moved to Newburn Industrial Estate, where they brew on a 40-barrel plant.
