Founded by the Pounder family 1832 and acquired by Lett 1864. One of the very few Irish breweries to adopt the Burton Union system. Brewery powered by a water wheel. Ceased brewing 1956. The French brewery, Pelforth acquired the rights to brew Lett's ales, also Coors Golden Colorado.
