In about 1920, the Walsall & District Clubs Co-operative Brewing Society was established, and was known as such until 1947. Planning permission initially refused, but was trading in 1921. The company possibly re-used the plant from the former Rushall Brewery Ltd which had closed in 1915.
In August 1961, there was a proposed partnership with Gibbs Mew's Lancashire Clubs Federation Brewery Ltd of Barrowford. But the deal fell through and the Walsall Clubs Brewery was acquired by Charrington & Co. Ltd in 1961.
