[[Heather Ales]] was set up in 1992 and initially brewed their beer at the [[West Highland Brewery]].

In 1993 production moved to [[Maclay & Co. Ltd]].  
[[Heather Ales]] established this brewery in 1999, but in 2004 moved production to Forth (see [[Williams Brothers Brewing Co]]).


In 1999 they opened their own brewery to brew their cask products with the bottled beers being brewed at [[Forth Brewing Co]].  
This site was sold during 2005 and reopened as Strathaven. The 10BBL plant is located in a 17th century building on the banks of the River Avon.
 
Brewing ceased in 2022.


Towards the end of 2003 they took over Forth, renaming it Williams Brothers. All production was transferred there by early 2004. This site was sold during 2005 and reopened as Strathaven.

Strathaven Ales, Craigmill Brewery, Strathaven, South Lanarkshire

Heather Ales established this brewery in 1999, but in 2004 moved production to Forth (see Williams Brothers Brewing Co).

This site was sold during 2005 and reopened as Strathaven. The 10BBL plant is located in a 17th century building on the banks of the River Avon.

Brewing ceased in 2022.
