Founded by 1830 by William Morton. Morton listed 1841 to 1871, at which time he was described as "Wine merchant, maltster and brewer employing 6 men". Joseph Teesdale listed as the brewery manager in 1881 and 1891.
 
Acquired by [[Soulby, Sons & Winch Ltd]] in 1900.


Henry Cadney Raithby in 1840s, then in 1860s Raithby & Gant. Christopher Robinson acquired around 1870, Joseph Teesdale listed as the brewery manager in 1881 and 1891. Sold to [[Soulby, Sons & Winch Ltd]] in July 1897. They used as stores until 1925. Demolished 1970s and the site now used as a coal yard.

Henry Cadney Raithby in 1840s, then in 1860s Raithby & Gant. Christopher Robinson acquired around 1870, Joseph Teesdale listed as the brewery manager in 1881 and 1891. Sold to Soulby, Sons & Winch Ltd in July 1897. They used as stores until 1925. Demolished 1970s and the site now used as a coal yard.
