James J Murphy & Co. Ltd, Ladyswell Brewery, Leitrim Street, Cork, Ireland
Founded in 1856. Premises originally a foundling hospital. Registered December 1883.
Acquired by Watney Mann Ltd 1966 but in 1971 the Irish government bought Watney's holding. In 1974 the brewery was bought by Licensed Vintners Holdings a consortium of independent publicans.
Known as Heineken Ireland since 1984.
