Acquired by Groves & Sons Ltd of Weymouth in 1950 with six public houses, including the following:
- Chequers, Lytchett Matravers
- Hambro Arms, Milton Abbas
- Crown, Winterbourne Stickland
- Milton Arms, Dorchester Hill, Winterbourne Whitechurch
Converted into private housing 1986.
