Name change to Burts Newport Brewery in 1992 after [[Burt & Co]] closed on the island.  
Established in 1991 by the Hampshire soft drinks company [[Hartridge & Sons Ltd]].
 
In 1993, they acquired [[Burt & Co]] and adopted the Burt name and brands. Burt's Brewery in Ventnor was closed.


In 1996 all production was transferred to a separate brewpub at Sandown and brewing ceased.
